Liam was almost 3 years old when he was diagnosed with Leukemia and his life started to be conducted to the beat of chemotherapy treatment,
like 200,000 children a year diagnosed with cancer in the world. In that period of daily grief and struggles, the support we consistently
received from an amazing range of individuals and organizations was life-affirming.
Now that Liam is 9 and has been out
of treatment for 3 years, we decided it was time to hold on to our promise. It’s time to show him the world and carry out our
share with the means we have in the fight against cancer.
Our journey will last two years and will take him to over
40 countries and holds the objective of heightening diagnosis awareness.
We left our Austin (Texas) based home
in June 2008 to journey all summer around North America, allowing us to make the necessary alterations and adjustments to the motor-home,
before heading to Central and South America for ten months.
Following the sun, we will embark a cargo to Asia for the
next six months. The rest of the year will take us all over Europe, concluding in
